Upper East Regional Division Two League: Bolga Fc Crown Champions In Zone Three(3)

Bolgatanga base Bolga Football Club have been crowned champions in zone three(3) of the Upper East Regional Division two(2) League even after a defeat away to Real Bolga United in the team’s final game at the Zamstech park on Sunday.

Bolga fc missed a penalty in the second half of the game and eventually lost due to the team first goalkeeper who was red carded and has to replaced by a player.

Bolga fc have been on superb form since the league begun in June and have gone on to record 7 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat in the team’s first full season in division two.

Bolga fc open their campaign with a 2-0 win away at Zuarungu fc, and drew 1-1 against Black Arrows fc at home.

Bolga fc went ahead with a 4-1 away victory over Tili Golden Stars at Tilli, and return home to beat Kongo United 3-0 and Real Bolga United 3-1 as well.

In the second round Bolga fc continued it’s perfect run with a home 2-1 victory over Zuarungu fc, drew 1-1 away to Black Arrows fc, in the team’s home game against Tilli Golden Stars they failed to show up and Bolga fc duely file a protest and won, from there, the team travel to beat Kongo United by 1-0 which sealed their qualification into the top four before a 1-0 away defeat to Real Bolga United.

Bolga Fc affectionately called “The Royals” has scored 20 goals and conceded 6 goals with a total of 23 points to book a spot in the playoff.

Dong Donald Dogbila emerged as the team’s top scorer with five(5) goals, while Braimah Abdul-Rauf the team’s midfield creativity led the assist chat with 5.
