In a fashionable style akin to the one witnessed in Ghana Football in the matter of Tema Youth vs Dreams FC in the famous Daniel Gozah Cudjoe Mensah case, Real Tamale United is seeking to foil the attempted qualification of Sunyani based Bofoakwa Tano in a similar style.
The Tamale-based former Premier league side has reported their opponents to the Ghana FA for falsifying the Name and age of a player.
A petition, cited by 442sports.com RTU has asked the Football governing body to investigate the matter and bring Bofoakwa Tano to book for the act that contravenes the Regulations of the Association.
RTU is claiming the Brong Ahafo based club has altered the registration documents of player Yaw Sarfo Patrick who is now known as Nyame Stephen Patrick.
Contents of the petition filed by RTU indicate the Player was transferred from Unity FC to Bofoakwa for the 2020/21 season but has had his details changed to deny Unity FC any future transfer benefits.
Yaw Sarfo Patrick, whose original registration details in the FIFA connect system has his date of birth on 10th February 1998, has had it changed by Bofoakwa to 21st November 2002 to outwit officials of the Ghana FA and Unity Football club an act that breaches the regulations of the Association.
Real Tamale United in the petition insists instead of the player to be registered in the system as an ‘old and existing Footballer, Bofoakwa registered the player as new in the FIFA connect system.
RTU is further seeking that the Ghana FA will punish Bofoakwa Tano for the action, and sanction the player as witnessed in the case involving Tema Youth and Dreams FC.
Both RTU and Bofoakwa Tano are in hot pursuit of Premier League qualification, and the outcome of that decision could change the dynamics of the league standings in their zone.
Bofoakwa Tano is currently leading A the standings with a points difference of 4 with RTU trailing them, with only 1 game to end the season
